We have compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we receive from those interested in joining the event. Our aim is to provide you with all the information you need to prepare for an amazing week of learning, networking, and fun.

How do I apply?

I applied, what's next?
Our team will contact you regarding the selection results within two weeks. As we receive a high volume of applications, the review process may take some time, and we kindly ask for your patience.
Please do not purchase any flight tickets to Sardinia until you have received an official confirmation from us.
I will need an invitation letter for my VISA. Can you provide it?
If you are selected as a participant, we can offer you the letter of confirmation of booking from the hostel after you pay the deposit (non-refundable). Then, you can apply for the tourism VISA. We cannot produce official invitation letters.
What is the deadline for applying?
There is no fixed deadline, as the selection process depends on the number of applications received each year. However, the participation fee varies based on when you apply, so we encourage you not to wait too long. Spots for participants are limited and will eventually run out, so make sure to secure your place as soon as possible!
Where will I stay?
Participants will be staying at the ERSU Cagliari campus — and this time, in a brand-new building!

🛏️ Comfortable double rooms with private bathroom and kitchen area
🤝 Big common spaces to hang out
The specific location will be shared with selected participants.
What is included in the price?
✅ Accommodation in the city center of Cagliari in double rooms with private bathroom and kitchen area. Check-in 3rd August, check-out 9th August.
✅ Breakfast (4th to 9th August)
✅ Dinner (3rd to 8th August) with water included — on the day of the boat trip, lunch is provided instead of dinner
✅ All activities, experiences, visits and excursions included in the agenda
✅ Boat Trip in Villasimius Marine Reserve area
✅ All educational and experiential activities, including staff and facilitator fees
✅ Private bus transport to all activity venues
What is NOT included in the fee?
❌City tax
❌Accommodation for extra days (before 3rd August or from 9th August onwards)
❌Daily lunch (except on boat trip day)
❌Dinner on the day of the boat trip (lunch is provided instead)
❌Drinks, ice creams and extra amenities during activities and meals
❌Extra activities or excursions not included in the official agenda
❌VISA costs
What if I want to stay in Sardinia longer?
If you find a significantly cheaper flight arriving the day before or departing the day after the official Summer Week dates, or simply want to extend your stay in Sardinia, we can arrange extra nights for approximately €30 per night.
Please note that catering during extra days is not covered — meals are on your own.
Are flights to Sardinia too expensive?
We know flights to Cagliari in August can be pricey — and we don’t want that to stop you from joining us.

Flexible dates can save you money. If you find a significantly cheaper flight arriving a day earlier or departing a day later than the programme dates, we can arrange accommodation for those extra nights at €30 per night. Just let us know in advance.
