International Summer Week
From 6-13 August 2023

ISW is a meeting point for young and proactive people passionate to explore new cultures and discover new ways to express themselves.

For over 20 years, we have been introducing the beautiful island of Sardinia to the world, whilst simultaneously enabling our participants to discover the Mediterranean lifestyle, the richness of other cultures and new ways of expression. Every year we welcome 200 travelers from all around the world, making it one of the biggest international events of the summer.

Join us on 6 – 13 August 2023 and become a part of the International Summer Week family!

What will I get?

Accommodation in
City Center

The Hostel Marina is a great welcoming hostel in the heart of Cagliari. The rooms are all equipped with bathrooms/en-suite and can accommodate various numbers of people.

Breakfast &
Dinner

Two meals per day are included in the participation fee: Italian breakfast, served in the hostel every morning, and a buffet dinner, including tasty traditional meals from Sardinia and Italy.

Fun, Sports & Entertainment

Our agenda is full of marvellous events: theme parties, games, quests, treasure hunts, sport tournaments, and more. We provide full transportation to and from all the venues, as well as entrance to all the events foreseen in our ISW plan.

Workshops & Laboratories

You will take part in different workshops and laboratories about arts, sustainable tourism and other interesting topics. Share your knowledge and gain valuable insights by engaging in discussions and activities with other participants and guests.

Excursions, Culture & the Sea

Of course one of the main reasons to participate in our event is the chance to discover the hidden treasures of Sardinia. Crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and a heritage dating back 5000 years are just a small taste of what you will experience.

What will we do in International Summer Week?

During the week, you will have a chance to join workshops and laboratories, explore different beaches and landmarks, and attend parties and cultural events. You will discover the jewels of the sea on our boat tour, taste local food treats and enjoy sunset dances on the sand. Every day you’ll become closer to the local culture and discover over 30 countries in a very special summer event.

Where will we stay?

We will be accommodated at hostel Marina, a hotel-quality structure situated in the very centre of Cagliari. The location is in the heart of the historical district, as well as the nightlife area! The venue provides sheets and towels, and offers a number of facilities, including a 24 hour reception and free Wi-Fi. The hostel has rooms for two, three, four or six people, all equipped with a private bathroom (two bathrooms in 6-bed rooms). The staff will work to provide a suitable accommodation for everyone, compatible with the limited availability of rooms of different sizes and the needs of participants.

As ISW is an intercultural event, the management would kindly ask to keep a spirit of cooperation and be ready to make new friends whilst sharing the room with fellow Summerweekers.
However, should you have any special requests and/or needs, please make sure you underline it in your application form and inform us so we can give you the best support.

What do I need to bring with me?

First of all, enthusiasm, a good mood and the will to discover Sardinia and the many countries of the participants with a spirit of cooperation and curiosity. We will do the rest. Moreover, prior to the event all attendants will receive an info pack containing all the important information. Should you have any doubts, you can always contact us through our email, social networks or Whatsapp

Why should I apply ASAP?

The number of places in the event is limited, so confirm your application with the deposit and make sure that your spot in ISW is secured! Moreover, we always offer special prices and discounts for people confirming their participation at an early stage. Check the payment conditions – Payment & Terms.

What if 7 days are not enough for me?

If you want to take some additional days to further explore Sardinia and look for more adventures, we will gladly support you. As August is high season in Sardinia, the Hostel will probably have limited space, therefore be sure you confirm your dates as soon as possible, in order to help us book them for you. As for the activities, we always organize some extra activities in the days right before and after the official dates of the event. Some examples of what we offer for our long-term guests? Excursions, cultural visits, traditional dinner – there is so much to see and do!

What if I’m not EU citizen and need visa for coming?

We do not issue the VISA itself, but we will support you in the process, working together with the hostel to provide you with the documents needed to request it. We highly recommend that you fill in the application form carefully, correctly providing all the data requested. In order to send you a booking confirmation, we will contact you via email. Please note that we start this procedure only for guests with an application already approved and payment of deposit already received and confirmed.
